Open Hands - karate for Christ is a ministry for ages 6-60 plus. We begin and end class with prayer and have a short Bible study during class. We try to relate the Martial art principles to Bible principles. We are members of Karate for Christ International and United States Eastern Wado Ryu Federation. Wado Ryu is one of the four major styles that came our of Japan. It is a combination of karate and jujutsu. We focus on offensives and self-protection; but we do spend time on sport karate for tournaments. Students progress at their own pace. student can start at any time. We do not charge for the classes; but we do accepted donations. the donations help cover the cost of supplies, Equipment, and Federation fees for promotions. Classes are very Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. at the the children's class room( next to the pavilion) at Wooley Springs Baptist Church. Pleas feel free to join us any Tuesday to watch or work out.
