San Diego Model Railroad Museum

The San Diego Model Railroad Museum provides a rich blend of educational opportunities centered around railroading, designed to engage young students in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning. Their programs are tailored for students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through grade 8, with interactive and immersive field trips or in-class workshop opportunities. The museum integrates model railroading into engaging educational experiences, allowing students to explore engineering and artistic perspectives while nurturing their curiosity about science and technology. The resources offered by the museum support homeschoolers by providing adaptable learning programs that can be complemented with additional online and on-site resources for enhanced educational outcomes.
