Stone Laboratory, located on Gibraltar Island in Lake Erie, is the Ohio State University's island campus and the oldest freshwater biological field station in the United States. It offers a range of college-credit courses, professional development workshops, and field trips, primarily focused on biological sciences and environmental studies, each summer. Known as a hub for research, education, and outreach, Stone Lab provides unique learning opportunities directly engaging with the natural environments surrounding Lake Erie.
