The Nature Lab is the only farm and forest enrichment program in Colorado Springs. During the planting and harvesting season the curriculum is heavily guided by learning to grow, tend, and harvest food. Once the season has ended the lessons transition to environmental sciences with the addition of engineering, mathematics, forestry and of course literature! All lessons will be highly hands on, interactive and in the beautiful Colorado outdoors. Who is The Nature Lab for? *Homeschool families with children ages 4-12. (Depending on the class size each semester the kids will likely be divide into 4-5, 6-8 & 9+ year olds for lesson times but ages will be mixed for many activities.) *Kids who love nature. *Kids who need a little more nature in their world. *Parents who need a little time to themselves but want their kids in safe, purposeful care. *Parents and care givers who always run out of time to teach science and natural sciences but want their kids to learn them!
