The Oregon Straw Hat Players (OSHP) is an amateur theatre group based in Oregon, Wisconsin. Founded in 1982, the organization provides various opportunities for community members to engage in theatre production and performance. OSHP fosters community involvement and creativity by allowing individuals to participate voluntarily in all aspects of theatre productions, from acting to backstage work. Dedicated to educational advancement in the performing arts, OSHP supports the community by offering scholarships and regularly producing plays and musicals. Participants gain hands-on experience in acting, directing, music, choreography, set design, and technical theatre, which is invaluable for those interested in further education or careers in theatre and the arts. The organization frequently updates its production list and offers scholarships and workshop opportunities for members and the broader community, ensuring continued learning and growth in artistic expression.
