Durango Nature Center (SJMA)

The Durango Nature Center, managed by the San Juan Mountains Association, is a 140-acre outdoor learning environment located on the Florida River. It features diverse ecosystems including riparian, sagebrush, and pinyon-juniper areas. The center serves as an outdoor laboratory for hands-on learning, providing opportunities for nature exploration and environmental education. It hosts educational programs and summer camps designed to engage children in hands-on science education and adventure through direct interaction with nature.
