Greenwood Furnace State Park - Educational and Recreational Programs

Greenwood Furnace State Park offers a variety of educational and recreational programs designed for year-round engagement. The park provides opportunities for hands-on learning through ecology and environmental science programs, which are particularly suitable for homeschool groups. Additionally, archeological work and comprehensive research efforts within the park have unveiled significant insights into the region's history, making it a valuable resource for educational field trips. Family programs and events focused on natural sciences and wildlife, such as the home education family program "Wild Edibles," further enrich the learning experience.
