GUIDED PUBLIC TOURS Learn about the history of this longtime homestead, founded by the Austrian Schweiger brothers in 1874. Today, Schweiger Ranch is owned and operated by Schweiger Ranch Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, and a protected Douglas County historic landmark. The historic restoration of the ranch house and buildings was completed in 2016. See restorations of the farmhouse, barn and other structures, and learn about the history of the ranch. CAMPFIRE SERIES EVENTS Enjoy an evening under the summer stars with s’mores and educational entertainment from historical portrayals, musicians, story tellers and more. NATURE WALKS Schweiger Ranch has teamed up with South Suburban Parks & Recreation District to provide free, guided walking tours led by professional naturalists from SSPRD. These tours offer insight and education into the natural environment on and around Schweiger Ranch, while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. OPEN DAY & SELF GUIDED TOURS Explore the rich history and beauty of Schweiger Ranch with a self-guided tour of the historic property and outbuildings, April through November on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 12:00 – 4:00pm LONE TREE FALL FESTIVAL | OCTOBER Celebrate the Fall in Lone Tree as historic Schweiger Ranch plays host to the annual Fall Festival, presented by the City of Lone Tree and the Schweiger Ranch Foundation. This Fall Festival is unlike any other and is sure to have a little something for everyone! AUSTRIAN CHRISTMAS & CHRISTKINDL MARKT | DECEMBER 7TH Schweiger Ranch presents its 8th annual Austrian Christmas and Christkindl Markt on Saturday, December 7th to celebrate the Austrian and German heritage of the Schweiger family. There will be holiday fun for the whole family. SCHWEIGER RANCH HOLIDAY DISPLAY OF LIGHTS Enjoy the display of holiday lights on the historic Austrian homestead from November 28th through Stock Show. The lights can be viewed from the warmth and comfort of your car from the parking lot and along Havana street. If you’re up for a winter evening walk, get a closer view by using the East West Trail. Please note the Ranch complex will be closed and entrance within the gates is not permitted.
