Yakima Maker Space (YMS) is a non-profit community center dedicated to fostering creativity and learning through making. It's a hub for artists, tinkerers, entrepreneurs, educators, learners, and craft enthusiasts within the Yakima Valley. The space is equipped with tools and resources to facilitate a wide range of activities from 3D printing, ceramics, CNC routing, laser engraving, to sewing and fiber arts. YMS offers a variety of classes and workshops, providing educational opportunities for all age groups. For homeschoolers and youth, YMS presents tailored activities including sewing, ceramics, woodcraft, and electronics. These programs integrate artistic and technical skills into hands-on learning experiences, encouraging creativity and innovation. The space also supports co-learning environments, where individuals of all ages can learn, share, and collaborate on projects.
