The Earth and Space Science Laboratory (ESSL) is a state-of-the-art STEM facility operated by Frederick County Public Schools. It serves as an educational center that enriches and extends elementary science curricula. The ESSL offers a variety of earth and space science program offerings for over 17,000 students annually. It features interactive exhibits on science, technology, and history, and includes the Ausherman Planetarium.
