Fort Concho National Historic Landmark

Established in 1867 along the banks of the Concho River, Fort Concho was built to protect frontier settlements, patrol, and map the West Texas region. Today, it offers a variety of educational programs, living history exhibits, tours, and reenactments. The Fort serves as an educational resource promoting historical preservation through docent-led tours, school group programs, and interactive events for visitors of all ages.
