Museum of History, Anthropology, and Art (MAHA)

Founded in 1951, the Museum of History, Anthropology, and Art (MAHA) is the oldest university museum in Puerto Rico. It offers an enriching exploration of Puerto Rico's history, Indigenous and African cultural heritage, and a wide array of art and anthropological collections. As a multidisciplinary museum operated by the University of Puerto Rico, it serves not only as an educational and cultural hub for students and educators but also offers public programs, exhibitions, and activities fostering research and learning. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and serves as a custodian of important collections related to the island's history and art.
