About
Whiskeytown Environmental School (WES), situated in the scenic Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, focuses on synthesizing education with nature. Established in 1970, WES gives students the unique opportunity of learning through immersive, outdoor activities that emphasize environmental science and stewardship. The school welcomes both public and homeschooling groups primarily from nine Northern California counties. It offers:
