Does HomeTrail Integrate or Sync with Google Calendar, IXL, or Google Drive?

The HomeTrail app and website do not integrate or sync with other platforms like Google Calendar, IXL, or Google Drive. Here is what to do instead with your calendars, IXL lessons, and photos.

Updated October 13, 2026

Not yet. HomeTrail doesn’t sync with Google Calendar, IXL, or Google Drive. Here’s what works well instead.

Google Calendar

HomeTrail can’t add your plan to Google Calendar or bring Google Calendar events in. Instead:

  • Print your plan. Open Planner, switch to Month, open Actions, and choose Print. You get a clean, color-coded family calendar. See Print a Family Calendar.
  • Show it on a screen. With HomeTrail Plus, open Actions → Family Board in the Planner to show your family’s week on a tablet or TV.
  • Add appointments as activities. Add classes, co-ops, and lessons that repeat to your Rhythm from Home → Your family rhythm. Add one-time events in the Planner.

IXL

HomeTrail doesn’t pull in IXL progress automatically. Instead:

  • Add IXL to your Rhythm. Open Home → Your family rhythm, choose Add to your rhythm, and add IXL on the days your child uses it. Check it off when they finish, and add the time and notes, like the skills they practiced.
  • Tell us you want it. Open Trailhead → Integrations and choose I am interested in integrating with IXL. We use these requests to decide what to build next.

Google Drive

HomeTrail can’t open photos or files from a Google Drive link. To keep a photo with your child’s learning record:

  1. Download the photo from Google Drive to your phone or computer.
  2. In HomeTrail, open the activity in the Planner and add the photo.

Photos can be up to 10 MB. You can also paste a Drive link into an activity’s notes as a reminder of where the original lives. See Add Photos and Files to Learning Sessions.
