Finding Learning Materials with TrailGuide
TrailGuide can find an educational article or video for a topic and prepare it as a student pack. Articles use the Newsworthy pack and videos use YouTube Videos.
Include:
- The topic
- The student or students
- Whether you prefer an article, video, or either
- The date it should appear when it is not today
For example:
Find Avery an educational video about pollination for tomorrow.
TrailGuide checks the result against grade and family preferences. When Compass has relevant learning context, it also uses the student's current stage, interests, and support needs to shape the selection and parent-visible rationale. These checks do not guarantee that every external page or video is accurate or safe.
Searched material remains hidden from Nest until a parent approves it. Review the title, source, and content before approval.
If you send a specific URL, TrailGuide can prepare that URL directly instead of searching. If no suitable result is available, the matching pack type is unavailable, or another draft is already being prepared, TrailGuide explains the problem instead of silently assigning material.
