Getting Started with TrailGuide

TrailGuide is HomeTrail's homeschool assistant for Plus families. You can use it by text message or in the HomeTrail app to handle common homeschool tasks without opening every screen manually.

TrailGuide can help you:

  • Log learning sessions
  • Plan future activities
  • Mark attendance
  • Check progress
  • Create or update journal entries
  • Generate student packs
  • Rename or regenerate generated pack cards
  • Send Trail Mail to students
  • Search HomeTrail help articles

TrailGuide cannot do every support or admin task. If a request is not supported by one of TrailGuide's tools, it should explain what it can do instead or point you to HomeTrail support.

Examples

Try messages like:

  • "Log 30 minutes of math for Kate today"
  • "What do we have planned this week?"
  • "Generate a cursive practice pack for Charlie"
  • "Send Grace Trail Mail: Great job on your reading today"
  • "How do I set up progress reports?"

TrailGuide uses your family-scoped HomeTrail context, such as student names, schedule details, and recent activity, to help complete requests.
