There is no limit on the number of students in a HomeTrail family. Add every child you are teaching, whether that is one or eight.
Add a student
- Open Home.
- In Your Rhythm, choose Add student. On a phone, choose the dashed Add circle in the student row.
- Enter their first name or nickname and the grade they would be in at school.
- Choose Add student.

What each student gets
Every student you add keeps their own:
- Grade level and attendance criteria
- Attendance days, learning sessions, and nature time
- Progress reports, portfolios, and Journey records
You do not have to duplicate your planning to match. A Rhythm item can apply to everyone, to a few students, or to one, so a read-aloud you do together is recorded once for each child who took part.
Cost
Adding students is included with free HomeTrail accounts, and there is no per-student charge.
HomeTrail Plus is one subscription for your whole family. Upgrading covers every student you have added, and adding another student later does not change the price.
