Use Materials for this session when a worksheet, reading, quiz, or other Plus material belongs on a specific dated Session you already planned. You can attach more than one material to the same Session. Removing a material from the Session does not delete it from Nest.

Add the first material from Rhythm
- Open Home.
- Select Add to your rhythm, or open an existing Rhythm item you are editing.
- Finish the subject, activity, days, and students as usual.
- In the Plus materials preview, choose a format such as a worksheet or reading.
- Set the First dated Session date and student.
- Select Save & add material.
HomeTrail saves the Rhythm item, creates that dated Session, and opens the material details so you can finish generating it. You can add more materials to the same Session later from Planner or Day.
Free families can still open this preview. Formats stay disabled until you choose See Plus trial options or Start Plus trial.
Add materials from Planner or Day
- Open Planner or a Day page.
- Open an existing Session, or create one and select Create & add materials.
- Find Materials for this session.
- If more than one student is on the Session, choose Create for.
- Select a material type. Featured types appear first. Open More material types for the rest.
- Finish the material details, then generate it.
Choose what this Session needs. You can return to Materials for this session and add another material anytime.
Preview formats without Plus
Without Plus, Materials for this session still shows what you can create. You see groups such as Practice & check understanding, Explain & explore a topic, and Send something you chose, with example formats listed under each. Select Start Plus trial when you are ready to generate one.
Remove a material from a Session
- Open the Session in Planner or Day.
- Under Materials for this session, find the material.
- Select Remove from session.
- Confirm when prompted.
The material leaves this Session plan. It remains available in Nest when Nest is enabled for your family.
